We've wired over 3500 homes in this area and most are over 10 years old.  These smoke alarms need to be replaced. SMOKE DETECTORS, REGARDLESS OF TYPE ONLY HAVE A LIFESPAN OF 8 TO 10 YEARS.  AFTER THAT THEY ARE USELESS!
